Our Impact

Over 600 babies are born each day to females aged 11-15 across all racial/ethnic backgrounds. This statistic puts the U.S. at the top of the list for teenage pregnancies in the developed world. The Goal Project was created to end this phenomenon by implementing mentorship programs with local at risk youth.

600

babies are born every day to teen mothers in the united states.

50%

of these teen mothers receive a high school diploma by 22 years of age,

90%

whereas approximately 90% of women who do not give birth during adolescence graduate from high school.

$9.4b

in costs to U.S. taxpayers for increased health care and foster care, increased incarceration rates among children of teen parents, and lost tax revenue because of lower educational attainment and income among teen mothers.
